Adam Ericksen was born in 1985 in Santa Cruz, CA. He attended the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) and graduated in 2007 with bachelor’s degrees in Mathematics and Philosophy. He received a PhD in Mathematics from the University of Southern California in 2013. After graduating, Adam worked as a Data Analyst with Google. In 2015, Adam came to work for Design Visionaries providing high-quality CAD support in the form of design, training and on-site assistance to a variety of influential Silicon Valley companies. He has volunteered with GRID Alternatives, an nonprofit organization that provides residential photovoltaic solar installations at low-to-no cost for low-income families. Adam describes CAD as an indispensable tool in the modern creative process, enabling artists, designers and engineers to bring their dreams to fruition via hands-on geometric problem solving. He is fascinated by the math surrounding CAD software, and has a deep love of sharing the beauty of mathematics with others.
